Starfleet sent us a message. They’ve said Voyager is missing?

I’m going to write to you anyway, I’m sure you’ll turn up soon enough and we can all have a good laugh about how you missed a decimal point in some sensor scans and sent your ship 50 light years in the wrong direction.

You’re not going to believe what’s happening back home. The Kai managed to get the Cardassians to sign a peace treaty. They’re paying us reparations and have even issued a formal apology for their actions during the occupation. Can you imagine that? The Cardassians apologising? I never thought I’d see the day.

In her announcement speech the Kai even hinted that the Cardassians were open to returning the orbs they stole. Which means they’ve actually admitted that they have them. Apparently they’re being less open about whether they’re still holding Bajorans prisoner. But we know they are. If the Kai can make them apologise, she’ll make sure that the Cardassians give them up soon. It’s just a matter of time.

Oh I wish you could have been here when the Kai returned from her talks with the signed treaty. The skies above Jalanda City were lit up with fireworks, people were dancing in the streets!

But there’s also rumours that the first minister has been taken ill. He’s still officially performing duties now but by the prophets, if he were to give up his position I don’t know a soul that wouldn’t support the Kai as the new, unified leader of Bajor. Though I expect she would be too humble to take the position.
